How do you use UGC in marketing?

So right now, I’m just using review content in social ads, but I want to do more. How are other people using them?

Hey, jlee :wave_tone2:

Great question!

You can use reviews as a way to boost your SEO organically. For example, Ruohonjuuri used user-generated content as a cornerstone for search engine localization and enhanced their Google search results and abundant social proof for their new site. :bulb: Discover more case studies here.

Another tactic that comes to mind is using user-generated content to enhance your customers’ experience with your brand’s website. Watch Yotpo: Learn Episode 3 | Reviews, and discover how you can create curated galleries for your blog and turn reviews into shoppable content. I highly recommend watching the whole video, but you can also jump to the 49 minutes of the video for these strategies.

I would love to share some insights about reviews & SMS - let me know if you are curious about integrating these channels into your eCommerce marketing strategy.

User-generated content (UGC) is a powerful tool in marketing, leveraging authentic content created by customers, fans, or followers to promote a brand. By showcasing real-life experiences, reviews, or creative uses of products, UGC builds trust and fosters a sense of community around the brand. To effectively use UGC, brands often encourage customers to share their content on social media through branded hashtags or contests, which can then be featured on the brand's official channels. This not only amplifies the brand alight motion pro’s reach but also enhances engagement, as consumers are more likely to trust and engage with content created by their peers rather than traditional advertising. Additionally, UGC can provide valuable insights into customer preferences, helping brands refine their marketing strategies.
